About this event
Event Overview
Navigating change for a stronger, sustainable and person-centered aged care
The new Aged Care Act marks a fundamental shift in Australia’s aged care system, placing the rights, dignity and individual needs of older Australians at the centre of care delivery across home, community and residential settings.
Aged Care Week 2026, now in its 7th year, returns on 9–11 June 2026 at ICC Sydney, bringing together senior leaders from government, aged care providers, peak bodies and across the sector to navigate what this reform means in practice. This flagship event will deliver practical, real-world insights into how providers are implementing the new Aged Care Act, sharing best practice, lessons learned, and high impact solutions post reform environment.
The program will focus on four critical areas of system-wide change: Support at home, workforce leadership and organisational capability, financial sustainability and operational resilience and governance, person-centred care and compliance.
Through expert-led sessions, real-world case studies and peer discussions, attendees will learn from those leading reform on the ground, explore proven approaches, and gain the confidence to translate legislative change into meaningful, high-quality outcomes for older Australians.
